2010 Coffee Hour Programs

The Corning Incorporated Retirees Group’s regular scheduled coffee programs in the Riverfront Café at the Corporate Headquarters Complex are held each second Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

FREE PARKING - Retirees and guests attending our monthly Coffee programs can park free in the company parking garage - the one behind the Club House building. Just pull up to the gate and when the guard asks your business, tell the guard you are there to attend the retirees' coffee program.

CANCELLATIONS - As a matter of policy, in the event weather forces Corning-Painted Post schools to close OR DELAY the start of the school day, the CIRG program will be cancelled.

Open to all Corning retirees and their guests, the programs feature guest speakers on informative and relevant topics. The schedule for the remainder of 2009 is as follows:
June No CIRG Coffee Program in June or July – Picnic in July
July 14 CIRG Picnic – Cooper Pavilion, Big Flats Community Park, Noon – 3 p.m. $11 per person. Reservations requested by July 7 by sending a check to CIRG, PO Box 308, Corning, NY 14830.
August 11 “Living with Bears”

September 8 CMOG Tour – A special guided tour including Hot Glass Show. Starting time is the usual 10 a.m. and, with the Hot Glass Show, it may run longer than the usual one hour.
October 13 Speaker: Jim Pfifer, Director - Chemung River Friends - A program about plans for the Chemung River Trail through Steuben and Chemung Counties.
November 10 Tom Cortright, former owner of A-a-a-h Flowers by Cortright – who will work his magic with artificial foliage and blossoms in forming attractive bouquets and arrangements.
December 8 Sharon Miller, Corning Incorporated – Our annual preview of what our health benefits programs will be for the coming year of 2011.
December 9 CIRG Christmas Party - Riverfront Cafe -- 1 to 3 p.m. More information to come.
