We (CIRG) get e-mail inquiries about a range of things... health care benefits, investments, address changes, eligibility for anything from CIRG membership to qualifications for retiree milestones like the 50-year retiree level. To that end, the following information should steer such inquiries to the proper sources for answers.

Several retirees from all round the country have sent us inquiries about a range of things... health care benefits, investments, address changes, eligibility for anything from CIRG membership to qualifications for retiree mileage events like the 50-year retiree level. That pointed out the need for a directory of sorts steering Corning Incorporated retirees to the proper persons for answers.

CIRG membership and all of the CIRG monthly Coffee Gatherings are open to all Corning Incorporated retirees - union or non-union - spouses and guests. The Coffee Programs have no fees and retirees get a "deal" on the coffee at the Riverfront Café.

We hear about retirees with computers who can’t find our website. That may be because they only use their computers for e-mail and aren't comfortable accessing the Internet.

For inquiries about benefits, the advice we have from Fran Allen of the Company Benefits Program office is to call the company Benefit Services Representative Help Line at 1-800-858-3875 between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. EST Monday through Friday (except holidays). Follow the prompts. When the prompt asks for your PIN, unless you are calling about investments and have a PIN number, ignore the request. It will ask several times… Be patient and continue to ignore it. Eventually, a Benefits Services Representative (BSR) will come on line to field your question. They are prepared to respond to inquiries about pension, health care, address changes, tax withholding changes or corrections, or other benefit-related inquiries. Re-capping:
