A: The Gaffer District is Corning, New York's retail and business hub, offering residents and visitors a wide variety of shopping, entertainment, museums and food choices.
The Gaffer District's business office is located at 114 Pine Street in Corning above the Corningware Corelle Revere Outlet Store. Staff members promote and coordinate activities in the District including popular events such as A Festival of Art (July), Race Fever (August), Crystal City Jazz & Harvest (September), and Crystal City Christmas (December). Many Corning Inc. employees are valuable volunteers for these special festivals.

A: The health and vitality of Corning's downtown is an important component of Corning retirees’ and employees' quality of life. For more than 25 years, Corning Enterprises has supported efforts to attract and retain the businesses that are important to our employees and community.
Today's Gaffer District has a wide variety of shopping choices, two world class museums, many spa and salon alternatives, and has become a dining destination for local and regional visitors. Over thirty events throughout each year help promote the unique and friendly downtown that is home to our world headquarters.

Q: Who is eligible for discounts in the Gaffer District?
A: The discounts in Corning's Gaffer District are available to anyone who is a Corning Incorporated retiree or anyone who is employed by Corning full-time.

Q: How do I participate?
A: Most promotions are simply "Show Your Badge" options. Display your retiree card to the participating merchant for their offering and you're set. If a coupon from the business' website is needed, it will be noted in the listing.
